Softball Recap: Narraguagus' Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Narraguagus put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Woodland Dragons with a sharp 15-2 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-0 back in April.

Emma Shaw and Natalie Stanwood made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Shaw pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Stanwood struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single hit any time she's pitched this season. At the plate, Shaw got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, while Stanwood got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Paidyn Cashman and Lola Worcester did most of the damage at the plate: Cashman got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Worcester got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Worcester is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Erica Rackliff, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Narraguagus pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Woodland, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Narraguagus will host Sumner at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodland, they will square off against Shead at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
