Soccer Recap: Taft Takes a Loss

Taft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marshall Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in January.

Taft's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Marshall, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Coming up, Taft will face off against Holmes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Taft is facing Holmes at the right time seeing as Holmes is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Marshall, they will square off against Warren at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Warren's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
