Baseball Recap: Spring Mills Has No Trouble Against Keyser

While Spring Mills put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Keyser. The Cardinals blew past the Golden Tornado 14-0. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.

Brayden Clark looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on JP Sweeney, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted over his last seven contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Stanley, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Spring Mills' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-8. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Keyser, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spring Mills will take on Hedgesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Keyser, they will face off against East Fairmont at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
