Basketball Game Preview: Cornerstone Family Saints vs. Cair Paravel Lions

Cornerstone Family is 1-9 against Cair Paravel since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cornerstone Family Saints will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cair Paravel Lions at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Cornerstone Family's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.

Cornerstone Family picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against Whitefield Academy by a score of 66-56.

Meanwhile, Cair Paravel entered their tilt with Marais des Cygnes Valley on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took their game with ease, bagging a 53-21 victory over the Trojans. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.

Cornerstone Family has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Cair Paravel, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Cornerstone Family was dealt a bruising 70-14 loss at the hands of Cair Paravel when the teams last played back in December of 2020. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Cornerstone Family was down 46-6.
