Basketball Recap: Suffolk Christian Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Luke Ott and Jason Hernandez

Suffolk Christian Academy was the 38-35 winner over Victory Christian when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Suffolk Christian Academy Knights fell 58-51 to the Victory Christian Eagles on Friday.

Jason Hernandez and Luke Ott certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hernandez went 9 for 13 on his way to 20 points, while Ott went 6 of 14 en route to 19 points. Ott's evening made it 17 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Hampton, who posted seven points and 14 boards.

Suffolk Christian Academy now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Victory Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Suffolk Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 40-31 loss against New Life Academy on the 3rd. Victory Christian has also already played their next contest (against Rock Church), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
