Basketball Recap: Georgia-Cumberland Academy Drops Season-High Score on Cornerstone Prep Academy

Georgia-Cumberland Academy's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Cornerstone Prep Academy Cougars by a score of 43-32. Georgia-Cumberland Academy found their leader in freshman Rylee Hagele, who posted 18 points in addition to four steals and three blocks. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for Hagele. Another player making a difference was Ava Reese, who earned nine points along with six steals and five rebounds.

Georgia-Cumberland Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Georgia-Cumberland Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cornerstone Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
