Softball Recap: Rainier Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Rainier's offense. They came up short against the Gladstone Gladiators on Wednesday, falling 9-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Columbians of the 14-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Rainier's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Gladstone, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Rainier will square off against Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Gladstone has already played their next contest (against Astoria), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
