Basketball Game Preview: Summit Storm vs. Lake Oswego Lakers

The Summit Storm are taking a road trip to face off against the Lake Oswego Lakers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Summit is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Henley just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets.

While Lake Oswego didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on St. Mary's Academy with a sharp 50-29 win on Tuesday. Given the Lakers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Blues are ranked 245th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Lake Oswego and bumps their season record up to 8-3. As for Summit, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.
