Basketball Recap: Mounds Gets the Win

Mounds entered their tilt with Caney Valley on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 43-42 victory over the Caney Valley Trojans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 46-41 back in November of 2024.

Mounds' win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10. As for Caney Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
