Basketball Recap: Schoolhouse Prep Finds Playoff Glory Versus Miami Christian

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Schoolhouse Prep had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They took down the Miami Christian Victors 67-53. This was a revenge game for the Wolfpack: when they faced off against the Victors back in January, they had to take a 65-64 loss.

Hector Samaniego was his usual excellent self, putting up 30 points. Another player making a difference was Marc Garcia, who posted eight points.

Schoolhouse Prep is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Miami Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.

Schoolhouse Prep will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Westwood Christian on Friday. Westwood Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Schoolhouse Prep likes a good challenge. Miami Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
