Gardiner is a perfect 4-0 against Oak Hill since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Tigers will welcome the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. Gardiner is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Gardiner came up short against Freeport and fell 6-3.

Gardiner saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ZOEY SULLIVAN-BRENNAN, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. CHEYENNE GOODMAN also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Oak Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Lewiston 5-4 on Monday.

Izzy Whitaker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

The victory got Oak Hill back to even at 2-2. As for Gardiner, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Gardiner has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Oak Hill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Gardiner beat Oak Hill 14-9 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
