Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven] walked away with it. They blew past the Central Raiders 7-1 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Outlaws, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Maddy Ferguson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Ella Risley was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.

South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven]'s win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven] has already played their next matchup, a 12-8 loss against West Elk on the 19th. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
