Baseball Recap: Arleta Comes Up Short

Arleta suffered their closest loss since March 7th on Friday. They fell just short of the Van Nuys Wolves by a score of 5-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 last Wednesday.

Arleta saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Thomas, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Arleta and nudges their season record down to 5-10. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Van Nuys, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Arleta will face off against Fairfax at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Van Nuys, they will be taking part in a tournament against Sun Valley Magnet at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
