Volleyball Recap: Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy Comes Up Short

Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Prentice Buccaneers.

Prentice's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophie Staroba, who had six aces and three digs. What's more, Staroba racked up 19 assists, the most she's had since back in September of 2024. Piper Heikkinen was another key player, getting 12 digs and one assist.

Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Prentice, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Chequamegon on the 26th. As for Prentice, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Gresham Community on the 26th.
