Softball Recap: Meadowcreek Victorious

Meadowcreek's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They skirted past the Osborne Cardinals 11-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted since September 10, 2024.

Melissa Figueroa-Rosas was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lakea Fields, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meadowcreek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.6 runs over those games. As for Osborne, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cardinals beat Meadowcreek by a score of 28-8 later that day.
