After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Contreras, Hollywood was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Bernstein Dragons 14-13. For the Sheiks, this counts as revenge for the 16-8 victory the Dragons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Eleiyah Layton was excellent, going 3-for-5 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Abigail Castro, who got five hits from her five at bats.

Layton wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Hollywood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

The win got Hollywood back to even at 2-2. As for Bernstein, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Hollywood will host Mendez at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bernstein, they are taking a road trip to square off against Roybal at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
