Volleyball Recap: Dugway Takes a Loss

If Dugway was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Rockwell on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs came up short against the Freedom Prep Academy Eagles on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

While Dugway ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-21.

Gary Williams paced Dugway's offense, picking up 14 kills. Williams got some help from Cru Andrus and his 25 assists. Finally, Kevin Bullock kept Dugway's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Dugway's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Freedom Prep Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-8.

Dugway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Salt Lake Academy on the 17th. As for Freedom Prep Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Providence Hall on the 21st.
