Volleyball Recap: Augusta Christian Falls to Augusta E in First Game of Season

Augusta Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Augusta E Eagles on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Augusta Christian was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Augusta E work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 28-26, 25-17.

Augusta E's victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Augusta Christian will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Westside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Augusta E, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Georgia School for Innovation & Classics on the 14th.
