Softball Recap: Hannah-Pamplico Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Hannah-Pamplico rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Lake View Wild Gators 12-1. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Wild Gators recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Meredith Stone, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Chloe Cooper, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Hannah-Pamplico was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Hannah-Pamplico pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Lake View, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Coming up, Hannah-Pamplico will venture away from home to take on Latta at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Raiders 4, the Vikings 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Lake View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
