Basketball Game Preview: Lewis & Clark Tigers vs. Central Valley Bears

Lewis & Clark hasn't had much luck against Central Valley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lewis & Clark Tigers will square off against the Central Valley Bears at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Lewis & Clark took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Cheney 57-35.

Meanwhile, Central Valley put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Gonzaga Prep with points to spare, taking the game 72-58. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Bullpups are ranked 39th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Central Valley pushed their record up to 16-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for Lewis & Clark, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Lewis & Clark ended up a good deal behind Central Valley when the teams last played back in February of 2024, losing 63-45. Can Lewis & Clark avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
