Basketball Recap: Thomasville Takes a Loss

After flying high against Trinity last Thursday, Thomasville came back down to earth. The Thomasville Bulldogs came up short against the Randleman Tigers on Friday, falling 59-36. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 532nd, while the Tigers are ranked 47th).

Randleman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chase Farlow led the charge by putting up nine points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Pacey Wagner, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points and three steals.

Thomasville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Randleman, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Thomasville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-62 loss against Williams on the 28th. As for Randleman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-47 win against Asheboro on the 28th.
