Braylon Brooks posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
