Edwardsville waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came out on top against the Waterloo Bulldogs by a score of 58-47. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Waterloo's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Devilder, who went 5-for-8 en route to 14 points. Alex Stell was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

Edwardsville pushed their record up to 24-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Waterloo, their loss dropped their record down to 19-9.

Edwardsville and Waterloo should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Edwardsville (ranked 11th) will meet East St. Louis (ranked 146th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Waterloo will square off against Jersey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 257 places (88 vs. 345).
