Basketball Recap: Mountain Grove Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Mountain Grove duked it out with Hollister on Monday. The Mountain Grove Panthers snuck past the Hollister Tigers with a 73-67 win. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Tigers are ranked 394th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mountain Grove is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points over those games. Hollister is on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.

As of now, neither Mountain Grove nor Hollister have any future games scheduled.
