Lynchburg-Clay extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 9-2 in the process. Everything went their way against the Peebles Indians as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Christian Flowers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Trevor Niehaus was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Cody Bell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Lynchburg-Clay hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.

As for Peebles, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. The contest marked their lowest-scoring match so far this season.

On Peebles' side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Clark, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lynchburg-Clay beat the Indians by a score of 14-0 on Tuesday.
