Volleyball Recap: Oakmont Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Oakmont was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Marysville on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings fell 3-1 to the Colfax Falcons on Thursday. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Oakmont started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-17.

Isabella Peters paced Oakmont's offense, picking up ten kills. Peters got some help from Elisabel Lumley Garcia and her 12 assists. Finally, Peters was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Oakmont's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Colfax, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Oakmont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Bear River on the 30th. As for Colfax, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Marysville on the 30th.
