Baseball Recap: Licking Heights Comes Up Short

Licking Heights lost against Lincoln back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hornets lost 8-1 to the Lions. The Hornets' loss continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Tino Martin was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that he has hit this season.

Licking Heights' record now sits at 3-19. As for Lincoln, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-13 record.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Licking Heights will head out on the road to challenge Westerville Central at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lincoln, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dublin Scioto at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
