Okolona is a perfect 8-0 against Eupora since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Chieftains will venture away from home to take on the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Okolona has given up an average of 51.3 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Okolona is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Shannon just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 80-79 to the Red Raiders. On the bright side, the 79- point effort marked the Chieftains' highest-scoring contest to date.

Meanwhile, Eupora had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They breezed past the Tigers to the tune of 87-58. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Okolona's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Eupora, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Okolona beat Eupora 67-58 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chieftains since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
