Softball Recap: Hurricane Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Hurricane won the last time they faced Spring Valley and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Redskins blew past the Timberwolves 11-3. Considering the Redskins have won seven games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hadley Lawson was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Jones, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Hurricane always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spring Valley only posted an OBP of .167.

The victory (which was Hurricane's third in a row) raised their record to 10-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Spring Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Hurricane has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Riverside on the 10th. As for Spring Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-7 defeat against Cabell Midland on the 10th.
