Baseball Recap: Crosbyton Comes Up Short

Crosbyton kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 12-4 to the Olton Mustangs. The Chiefs haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Crosbyton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miah Marquez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Olton moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Crosbyton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 15-0 loss against Morton on the 7th. As for Olton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-8 defeat against Floydada on the 11th.
