Basketball Game Preview: Campbell County Cougars vs. Powell Panthers

Campbell County and Powell are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Campbell County Cougars challenge the Powell Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Campbell County lost to Knoxville Central on the road by a 60-44 margin. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Powell humbled Karns with a 77-41 victory.

Campbell County's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8. As for Powell, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10.

Campbell County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Powell when the teams last played on January 7th, but they still walked away with a 55-51 victory. Will Campbell County repeat their success, or does Powell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
