Softball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty's last matchup with Kennedy could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Lightning lost 9-1 to the Cougars. The Lightning have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Kennedy, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty will take on Dubuque Senior at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kennedy, they will face off against Cedar Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 3.3, the Tigers 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
