Volleyball Recap: Augusta Takes a Loss

Augusta lost against Whitehall back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Beavers came up short against the Norse, falling 3-0. The Beavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Augusta took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 25-19.

Maddi Meyer paced Augusta's offense, picking up 12 kills. Meyer got some help from Brooklyn Krueger and her ten assists. Stella Zank controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Whitehall's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kyla Lambeck, who had ten digs and two aces. Lambeck is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Avvia Herman was another key player, getting nine digs and five aces.

Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Whitehall, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 9-9.

Augusta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Cochrane-Fountain City on the 9th. As for Whitehall, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Osseo-Fairchild on the 11th.
