If Coalfield wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Oliver Springs, they should've done a better job of containing Ethan Jones. The Oliver Springs Bobcats walked away with a 57-48 victory over the Coalfield Yellow Jackets on Tuesday thanks in part to Jones, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 22 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points.

Jaxon Jett was another key player, putting up six points and six boards. What's more, he also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024.

Oliver Springs now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Coalfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 15 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

Looking ahead, Oliver Springs will square off against Oneida at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Oneida has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with seven straight defeats, while Oliver Springs will come in with four straight wins. As for Coalfield, they will head out on the road to square off against Oakdale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
