It was a good run, but Lugoff-Elgin unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs by a score of 2-1. If the Demons were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Chiefs when the teams met back in September of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lugoff-Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for North Myrtle Beach, the win keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

Looking ahead, Lugoff-Elgin will welcome West Florence at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Myrtle Beach, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Cardinal Newman on the 20th.
