Soccer Game Preview: Hanna vs. Los Fresnos

Hanna is 2-8 against Los Fresnos since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Hanna face off against the Los Fresnos at 5:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Hanna came up short against Harlingen and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 470th, while the Cardinals are ranked 107th).

Meanwhile, Los Fresnos waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Cardinals.

Los Fresnos pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Hanna, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
