Volleyball Game Preview: Valor Christian Eagles vs. Littleton Public Schools

The Valor Christian Eagles will face off against Littleton Public Schools at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Valor Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Overland, who was ranked 16th at the time (Valor Christian was ranked 21st). The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trailblazers on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Valor Christian never let Overland on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-23, 25-17.

Valor Christian can attribute much of their success to Renn Bailey, who had five digs and three aces, and Mason Walters, who had six digs. Those three aces gave Bailey a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Littleton Public Schools waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Jaguars 3-0.

Littleton Public Schools' got stronger as the match went on, holding D'Evelyn to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-13, 25-11.

Littleton Public Schools' victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for Valor Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Valor Christian skirted past Littleton Public Schools 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do Littleton Public Schools have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
