Basketball Recap: Marysville Getchell Comes Up Short

If Marysville Getchell was riding high fresh off their 55-28 takedown of Marysville-Pilchuck last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Marysville Getchell were dealt a 57-8 defeat at the hands of the Snohomish Panthers on Wednesday. Marysville Getchell hasn't had much luck with Snohomish recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Marysville Getchell's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Snohomish, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Marysville Getchell will head out to challenge Stanwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Stanwood knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Marysville Getchell likes a good challenge. As for Snohomish, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marysville-Pilchuck at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Snohomish is facing Marysville-Pilchuck at the right time seeing as Marysville-Pilchuck is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
