Volleyball Recap: Riley Dobson and Mattie Barker Secure Win for Jeffersonville

Jeffersonville's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the New Washington Mustangs 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Red Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jeffersonville was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 25-21.

Jeffersonville was led to victory by Mattie Barker and Riley Dobson. Barker had nine digs and two aces, while Dobson had four digs and one block. That's the most digs Barker has posted over her last eight matches.

They weren't the only good server: Jeffersonville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. They are 4-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

The victory got Jeffersonville back to even at 5-5. As for New Washington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Coming up, Jeffersonville will face off against Cathedral at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for New Washington, they will challenge Clarksville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
