Basketball Recap: Rylee Taylor-Jefferson Key Part of a Team Effort in Pirates Win

Polson's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Whitefish Bulldogs by a score of 44-31. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Polson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rylee Taylor-Jefferson led the charge by putting up 20 points and three steals. Taylor-Jefferson has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Aleysia Black, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Polson's record is now 3-4. As for Whitefish, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Browning the next time they take the court. Whitefish will host Browning at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, while Polson will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
