Basketball Game Preview: Fleming County Panthers vs. Bath County Wildcats

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Fleming County Panthers face off against the Bath County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday... Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Saturday, Fleming County didn't have too much trouble with Raceland as they won 82-66.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bath County). They were the clear victor by a 77-55 margin over Bluegrass United on Friday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-16.

The victory (which was Bath County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Fleming County, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.

Everything came up roses for Fleming County against Bath County in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured an 83-51 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fleming County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
