Softball Game Preview: North Myrtle Beach Chiefs vs. St. James Sharks

For the second straight game, North Myrtle Beach will face off against St. James. The Chiefs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Myrtle Beach is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for North Myrtle Beach's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. James on Tuesday. The Chiefs haven't had much luck with the Sharks recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

North Myrtle Beach saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sadie Olson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

The victory (which was St. James' tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for North Myrtle Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
