Basketball Game Preview: Raines Vikings vs. Yulee Hornets

The Raines Vikings will challenge the Yulee Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Raines' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.

Last Friday, Raines beat Westside 67-57. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly ten points.

Raines' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Terrance Walker, who went 8 for 11 on his way to 20 points. Walker's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Timothy Cole, who went 9 of 17 en route to 20 points.

Meanwhile, Yulee came up short against Fernandina Beach on Friday and fell 53-41. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Raines pushed their record up to 10-13 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Yulee, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9.

Raines didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Yulee in their previous meeting back in December of 2014, but they still walked away with a 59-54 win. Does Raines have another victory up their sleeve, or will Yulee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
