Basketball Recap: Seymour Wildcats vs. Holy Cross Crusaders
It was a good run, but Seymour unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 66-53 to the Holy Cross Crusaders. Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mia Cunningham, who went 7 of 16 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. Those 18 points gave Cunningham a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Viktoria Michalczyk, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten assists.
Even though they lost, Seymour smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matches dating back to last season.
