Baseball Game Preview: Hartfield Academy Hawks vs. Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots

For the second straight game, Hartfield Academy will face off against Madison-Ridgeland Academy. The Hawks will venture away from home to challenge the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Hartfield Academy 2.5, Madison-Ridgeland Academy 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Hartfield Academy is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Madison-Ridgeland Academy just ended the team's 13-game winning streak on Tuesday. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Hartfield Academy, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 22-3.
