Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Centralia). They blew past the Highland Cougars 54-12 on Friday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-0.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Oliver Bohlmeyer and Peyson Bryson. Bohlmeyer rushed for 76 yards and one TD while Bryson rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown. Bohlmeyer got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 65 yards.

Centralia was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 352 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 189 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Centralia's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Highland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Centralia will be playing in front of their home fans against South Shelby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Cardinals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.17 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Highland, they will head out to square off against Macon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
