Softball Recap: Pacifica Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Pacifica was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against the Ventura Cougars, falling 16-2. The loss continues a trend for the Tritons in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost nine in a row.

Maleah Rudy made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Pacifica's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Ventura, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Ventura didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory against Viewpoint on the 15th. Hopefully Pacifica paid attention to the Cougars' matchup: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
