Basketball Recap: Jake Schutt Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Dana Hills

After losing to Dana Hills the last time they met, Servite decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Friars took down the Dolphins 61-45 on Monday.

Servite's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jake Schutt, who went 8-for-13 en route to 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Saiger Smith, who shot 75% from the field on his way to 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Servite's record now sits at 8-2. As for Dana Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Servite and Dana Hills will both be playing Western the next time they take the court. The Friars will head out to face the Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Dolphins will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
