Baseball Game Preview: Twin Valley Raiders vs. Wyomissing Spartans

Twin Valley is 8-1 against Wyomissing since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Raiders are taking a road trip to take on the Spartans at 4:15 p.m. Twin Valley will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Twin Valley came out on top against Conrad Weiser on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Raiders never let the Scouts get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won four contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Logan Crunk, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Lord, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Wyomissing was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They fell 4-1 to Kutztown. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Wyomissing's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Twin Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Everything went Twin Valley's way against Wyomissing in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Twin Valley made off with a 15-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
