Basketball Game Preview: Clark Eagles vs. Taft Eagles

The Clark Eagles will challenge the Taft Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Clark will head into Tuesday's match out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They came up short against Lincoln Park, falling 64-41. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Lions are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, Taft came up short against Phillips on Tuesday and fell 63-56.

Taft has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Clark, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
